Modern ActsHighlights from 2023
Modern Acts launched in January 2023 and the year was filled with walking out our faith and following obediently. We stand in awe of all that God did through our ministry efforts. He provided abundantly. We are excited to share some of the highlights from 2023.
Leader Connect / Pastor Connect
In November 2023, eighty local pastors and/or leaders came together in November for a lunch to hear about spiritual and mental health, and to brainstorm the needs of this community. We are excited to have ongoing Pastor Connect and Leader Connect gatherings for local leaders to build relationships together and to support each other in many ways!
Prayer Walk
The Pearland Schools Prayer Walk was a primary example of walking out our faith and following obediently. In January 2023, the Holy Spirit clearly spoke to Jessica, a co-founder of Modern Acts, to pray and serve in our schools. In a few days time, God revealed the details of this endeavor. This mission was focused on churches or organizations adopting a school to pray on August 20, 2023 and throughout the year. Additionally, each church and organization committed to serving the school. Modern Acts networked with 37 churches and organizations to pray for and serve in over 30 schools in the Pearland city limits. Before the prayer walk on campuses, a prayer rally kicked off the event. With over 600 in attendance from the community, we shared the message that this event was about praying, serving, and being united together as a body of Christ.
CITY Club Support
CITY Clubs (Christians in the Youth) is a club led by and/or supported by students to share Jesus in our schools.
